Special Assembly - Jai Kisan, by the Eco Club- Independence Day Celebrations continued

The Eco Club organised this assembly to honour Indian farmers. The event began with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by a heartfelt introduction to the theme. Students prayed for fertile lands, timely rains and a life free of famine and suffering for our farmers. The assembly highlighted the struggles faced by farmers and also paid tribute to Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, the pioneer of the Green Revolution, who also supported the White Revolution. A special mention was made of the 'Millet Man of Telangana' for his efforts in sustainable agriculture. A touching poem on farmers, an engaging conversation and a soulful song dedicated to kisans, enriched the programme. The assembly concluded with a pledge to support sustainable farming and respect the hands that feed us. The event inspired gratitude and awareness among students.
