Description: Shimla April 19 : St. Edward’s School, Shimla, witnessed a vibrant celebration of youth, unity, and athletic excellence during its grand Annual Athletic Meet held on April 16, 17, and 19, 2025. With participation spanning from Nursery to Class XII, the three-day event radiated energy and healthy competition. The opening ceremony set the tone with the hoisting of the National Flag, the singing of the School Anthem, and a spirited oath-taking ceremony by the School Sports Captain. Chief Guest DSP Siddharth Gupta (Theog) declared the Meet open, triggering enthusiastic applause and anticipation. One of the most striking moments of the event was the March Past, where the four school Houses displayed remarkable discipline and synchronization, earning loud cheers from the crowd. Students competed across a wide range of athletic events such as long jump, high jump, shot put, softball throw, and sprint races including 100m to 1500m events. The field came alive with relentless energy and team spirit as Houses competed for top honors. The prize distribution ceremony on the final day celebrated individual brilliance and collective effort, with medals presented to the best performers. The event ended on a jubilant note, fostering a deeper spirit of sportsmanship and school unity.
