The University of Pennsylvania organised its first-ever IVY League Model United Nations Conference in India at Chitkara University from 6th to 8th August 2025. The prestigious conference witnessed the participation of over 90 schools from across India and Nepal, bringing together some of the brightest young minds in the subcontinent. The Ivy League comprises eight of the most prestigious universities in the United States — Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton the University of Pennsylvania and Yale — renowned globally for their academic excellence, selectivity and intellectual legacy.
Amid such a high-profile gathering, the MUN Club of St. Edward’s School created history by securing the Best Delegation Award, a remarkable achievement that placed Edwardians at the very forefront of this international platform.
Individual Achievements:
Ayaan Singh Bisht was awarded Best Delegate in the WHO Committee.
Madhav Karol received Verbal Appreciation in the WHO Committee.
Samaksh Nahar Chaudhary earned an Honourable Mention in the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs Committee.
Stavya Pandit emerged as Best Delegate in the Manhattan Crisis Committee and also won the Best Working Paper Award. Notably, Stavya was the only delegate at the conference to win two awards, making his achievement truly exceptional.
This historic victory not only reflects the dedication, knowledge and debating prowess of Edwardians but also reaffirms the school’s commitment to nurturing globally aware and confident leaders.
